Good afternoon, Prince George Families,
I’m writing today to, first, thank you for your patience throughout this active winter. We understand the extended closure and shift to remote learning as our county recovered from the snow and ice brought challenges, but we appreciate your support as we worked to ensure our students could safely return to school.
That being said, Prince George County Public Schools will OPEN ON-TIME tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, 2026. We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus tomorrow.
Finally, I want to thank the men and women of our Support Services teams for their incredible work to make our return to school possible. We would not be able to reopen our doors to students and staff tomorrow without their hours spent clearing layers of ice and snow from our buildings, maintaining HVAC systems and vehicle fleets, preparing meals for our Remote Learning Days, and so much more, through cold temperatures following January’s winter storm.
We’re thankful for everything all of our Support Services teams do each day to make our schools safe and inviting places for our whole community.
